Hokie Legacy Seats

Help Warm Hearth residents get back to a Virginia Tech game day.

Hokie Legacy Seats is raising funds to create an accessible, climate-controlled glass booth at Lane Stadium, giving members of the Rock Steady Boxing program at Warm Hearth Village the opportunity to safely experience the excitement of Virginia Tech football once again, while aiming to also fund equipment that supports their training, mobility, and overall well-being.

Why this matters

I used to volunteer with Rock Steady Boxing at Warm Hearth Village in Blacksburg. Many residents studied, worked, or have family at Virginia Tech. Staff shared that a safe, comfortable booth at a football game would make it possible for residents to relive a beloved tradition.

Hokie Legacy Seats is our way to live Ut Prosim by giving back to the community that shaped us.

Rock Steady Boxing is a nonprofit organization in which participants are fighting back against Parkinson's disease. A climate-controlled, accessible booth turns a long, difficult game day into a safe life-enrichment outing that supports social connection, mood, and a sense of independence.

Project focus

  • Raise funds for a glass booth at a 2027 VT football game.
  • Provide accessible, climate-controlled seating for seniors.
  • Create meaningful life-enrichment experiences for people living with Parkinson's disease.
  • Coordinate with the VT Ticket Office and Athletics.

How it works

We will secure sponsorships, manage community donations, and coordinate logistics with Virginia Tech.

We are reaching out to football players and coaches to share our story on social media.

We will provide a ready-to-share post to make it easy to help.
